The Ciutadella park was built on the terrains of the old fortress of the city for the Universal Exhibition in 1888 and, during many years, it was the only public park of the city. Located between Estació de França and Arc de Triomf, there is the Parliament of Catalonia and a modern art museum and it covers an area of 17 hectares. The park also has some buildings of the XIXth century and a lake with small boats and a waterfall.
It is very pleasant and offers the possibility to relax a little from the chaos of the city.
How to get there:
Metro: L4, Ciutadella or Vila Olímpica
